Event Details

 

Reading and Question & Answer session with renown authors James Ragan and Michele Weldon. All proceeds benefit the organization STOP Foodborne Illness.

 

James Ragan has read his poetry at the United Nations (2001), and for six heads of state including Mikhail Gorbachev, Vaclav Klaus, and Korean Prime Minister Young-Hoon Kang, and has been honored as an ambassador of poetry.  He also performed at the International Poetry Festival in Moscow with Seamus Heaney, Robert Bly and Bob Dylan.

Michele Weldon is nationally recognized as a journalist, author, keynote speaker and assistant professor at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. Weldon owns and operates "Michele Weldon's Writing To Save Your Life Workshops."
